With the announcement of Lego licenses for DC and Marvel earlier this year – it is great to see that Traveller’s Tales will be developing a sequel to Lego Batman (which was frankly a joy to play) for 2012.

Lets just hope the X-Men get a game of their own (or as part of a larger Marvel title)

I visited Alliance Comics in Baltimore last week – I took the picture above as we drove passed after I realized I didn’t get one in-store or out front when I was there.

Like most Comic Shops – they had lots to see and buy but not much Colossus stuff… the best I could do was two posters (with other assorted X-Men on them), the variant of Uncanny X-Men #1 (Regenesis) which has the Unstoppable Colossus on the front, a pre-bagged copy of Avenging Spider-Man #1 (nothing Colossus related about that… I was just curious) and a free Walking Dead bookmark

Pretty cool store – though no real back issues so loses points for that!

I opened my inbox this morning to see a mail from statuemarvels.com announcing the Colossus Premium Format from Sideshow Collectibles.

“New York, NY — October 15, 2011 — Zen Studios and Marvel Entertainment today revealed the second of four tables to be included in their upcoming four-pack, Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue, this one based on the astonishingly popular X-Men franchise. This December on Xbox LIVE® Arcade and PlayStation®Network, the X-Men will join Ghost Rider (aka the Spirit of Vengeance) and two other soon-to-be-announced characters in the newest set of tables to join the critically acclaimed pinball game.

The X-Men table embodies the classic conflict between Professor Charles Xavier’s band of Super Hero mutants against Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants. Players must deploy the powers of Iceman, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Colossus, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Psylocke and Storm as they take on such classic villains as Mystique, Juggernaut and the Blob, as well as mutant-hunting Sentinels.

The table features missions inspired by actual comic events, such as Magneto’s destruction of the Brooklyn Bridge (NEW X-MEN #147) and a pinball version of the Dark Phoenix Saga that uses actual dialogue from classic issues of THE UNCANNY X-MEN (#135 and #136). There is even a confrontation with the Juggernaut in which Cyclops, Iceman, Colossus and Psylocke exemplify good teamwork as they attempt to stop the unstoppable.

The remaining two Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue tables — one starring a “vengeful” character, the other a “virtuous” one — will soon be revealed.”

I picked this up recently (on another uncontrollable spending whim).

It is the X-Men #7 Blank Variant customised with awesome wrap-around art by Mike Rooth. It is clearly a rendition of the Kotobukiya Danger Room Colossus Statue.
