Marvel Super Hero Squad Online – Top Ten Heroes

Since I have unlocked 40 characters and spent time ranking them up the levels I thought it would fun to share my top ten favorite heroes to play in the game. I am not including mission play as a factor (since I haven’t really played many missions) and so the factors are asthetic, movement, ability, and all round cool factor.

I must say that the reason I think the game is so successful and addictive is that the Marvel Universe is so character rich – with a legacy stretching back to the 60′s and before. This cartoony characterisation and stripped down essense of each character produces fun results that kids and big-kids can enjoy.

Anyway – in countdown order:

	10. She-Hulk The big green lady takes the number 10 slot. As far as I can tell – Jennifer Walters can jump the highest of any other character in the game – so is good for gaining height quickly and traversing the buildings with ease.
	09. Classic Daredevil The Yellow Daredevil sits at number 9. Good jumping ability; but it is mainly the cool factor of his original color costume. (Similar in Character Ability to Captain America – who could have taken this slot – but I really like the old fashioned Yellow DD).
	08. Nightcrawler In a word… BAMF It is just incredibly cool to be controlling a teleporting character.
	07. Dr. Strange The master of mystical arts plays well – he can “fly” between points (ok – he is actually stepping into the Astral plane and stepping out again somewhere else… I think) Anyway – as with many of the characters it is awesome to play one of the old school Marvel heroes. Not sure what other games you can actually play as Dr. Strange? (Will google that)
	06. Firestar One third of the Amazing Friends – Angelica Jones has always been a favorite character of mine. Firestar was the first character I maxed out in the game.
	05. Hulk “Where does door go?” The Hulk is awesome… he has great jump ability and you can feel the power as he takes off and lands.
	04. Future Foundation Spider-Man This could have been any one of three Spider-Man costumes – the classic Red & Blue, the black or this the newest and whitest Future Foundation Spider-Man costume. Apart from looking awesome – Spider-Man’s web swinging is a lot of fun – he can get round the maps and streets faster than anyone else. (Although I wish you could chain swings together).
	03. Iceman I don’t know of anyother game where you can play Iceman and travel on his iceflows… but it is insanely awesome – in fact it is the most fun thing in the whole game!
	02. Colossus The reason I joined was to play as Colossus – the fact that he was a relatively high unlockable character meant that he was that little bit more special in comparison to the other characters.Unfortunately he doesn’t have many applicable super powers for this game – but he is still fun to play – and getting his achievements is that little bit harder in the missions.
	01. Beast A rather surprising and low key number 1 – however the charactor of the Beast epitomises this what I want with this sort of game – control, relaxation and fun. He is blue, he has a better than average jumping ability to allow you to traverse the maps effectively.
